Project Overview
The project brings together two artisanal micro-enterprises from the agri-food sector – Zahara (Vratsa, Bulgaria) and PR Valdoro / Žuti List (Vranje, Serbia). Both companies combine family traditions with modern innovation and share a vision for cross-border cooperation and premium product development.


The partnership aims to strengthen their competitiveness by investing in modern equipment, creating new high-value gourmet products, and improving branding and market access.
The initiative addresses shared challenges in the Vratsa (BG) and Pčinja (RS) regions, such as limited SME productivity and market connectivity, while supporting entrepreneurship, local food traditions, and cross-border collaboration.
Key Activities
● Investment in modern production and logistics equipment
● Development of new premium cross-border gourmet products
● Brand development and intellectual property registration
● Joint participation in promotional events and farmers’ markets
● Creation of shared branding and bilingual packaging
● Market research and development of a joint marketing strategy
● Educational workshops with vocational schools and young entrepreneurs
Expected Results
By the end of the project the partners will achieve:
● Co-branded cross-border product lines integrated into their permanent portfolios
● A market analysis and premium branding strategy
● New packaging formats and quality standards aligned with EU markets
● Improved production capacity through modern equipment and logistics
● A replicable cross-border cooperation model between two micro-enterprises
The project demonstrates how traditional food production can be strengthened through innovation, collaboration, and EU-supported investment.
